The staff were friendly. I enjoyed the amazing views of the marina from my room and appreciated the comfortable setup of the kitchenette, easy for me to prepare snacks.
The dining options were limited as the on-site restaurant was closed .

We love the location of the hotel, and the decor of the rooms. The staff are incredibly friendly and hospitable. We have been many times to 'The Beachcomer' and will certainly return again! This time we were given the key back to us when we checked out so we could return to the room after going downtown to have breakfast. The rain was pouring down, so were very greatful to have shelter and tv to watch until a Shuttle took us to the train station. Brilliant service. Many thanks to all at 'The Beachcomer'. Alison Taylor
Everything was fine. Thank you.

I booked this hotel because of the dinning facility and when I arrived was told that it is closed in the winter, perhaps they can put this on the website. Also when I checked in the lady requested a credit card from me to pay when my company supplied the company credit card for payment which defeats the purpose as far as I'm concerned.

Our stay was very brief - arrived at 10 pm to find envelope with room keys. Left early the next morning - I didn't meet a single member of staff during my stay - although my husband did talk to the reception staff on check -out.

Couple looking for a comfy stay
Crazy amazing views of the harbour. You sit out there on the balcony, and it's like you're in another world right? And the beds, oh boy! They are HUGE and super comfy, made me forget about my troubles for a bit.

Location great and fantastic view
The shower was not up to the high standard of the rest of the hotel.

It was just a perfect match for a cursory stop in Picton with the best value for money ratio. The powerful shower was a nice surprise, although it sprayed out towards the door.

Very helpful and friendly staff. close to amenities etc. We arrived very late at night and although there were no staff on reception prior arrangement went flawlessly. We would happily stay again.

the coffee & milk. Worse tasting coffee I have ever had at any motel/hotel we have stayed at. What happened to trim or lite milk not every1 can have fullcream milk.

great location but lacking dining availability
This small coastal town hotel offers excellent value for money compared to city hotels. The on-site restaurant served high-quality meals , but it wasn't open every evening. I enjoyed the garden view from my studio. It added a peaceful touch to the experience.

Extremely pleasant and newly remodelled room, excellent staff in a friendly manner by the receptionist. Comfy beds, magnificent location very close to ferry terminal. And next to shops, restaurants walking distance, ferry and water taxi, and the omaka Aviation museum and the Classic Car museum next door.

The balcony was large, but the lack of view and cost spoilt it.
This was a relatively expensive stay and I was genuinely very disappointed. They claim to provide a view over the Sounds. They don't tell you about the carpark in front of your 'view', including the next door hotel's wall/doors to the side view. All the balconies have similar views. They claimed my spa bath room to be the best! The services were poor, (such as no room service dinner dining and no set closing time for their very expensive restaurant, they just say about 7.30pm or when they get quiet. So there is a risk of getting no food because things close early in Picton. Its an old property they have tried to modernise but my room smelt of 'old' carpet. It feels like you're in a block of concrete flats with bare steps, and all external entrances. I felt let down here as soon as I checked in!
